Dear Colleagues,
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for a spirited Get Acquainted Day! Prospective students and their families repeatedly commented on the enthusiasm, sense of community, and support they saw on display across the campus. It was a powerful glimpse into our Gettysburg education.
In all, we had more than 1,000 registrants and guests on campus from 27 states and five countries. The energy and excitement you brought to the weekend was fully reciprocated by our prospective students and their families. From engaging academic presentations and information sessions to a dynamic Clubs and Services Expo to a lively community reception, GAD showcased the breadth of learning experiences available to students—and the people who bring those experiences to life.
Please join me in congratulating and thanking the entire admissions and financial aid teams for their efforts in organizing GAD, as well as the scores of students, faculty, and staff who participated in ways big and small to make it a success. While we all still have important work before us to enroll the Class of 2028, including another admission event this Friday, GAD is our signature yield event and having it go as well as it did matters enormously.
It takes every one of us to enroll a new class of talented students. Thank you for all you’ve done, and will continue to do, to ensure our prospective students see Gettysburg College as the place where they can do great work.
